AOL Party w/ The Walkmen

I'm not going to write a proper review because this wasn't a proper show. On Thursday AOL had a party at Canal Room for Sara Schaefer - whoever the fuck she is. I went because there was going to be an open bar, a real open bar plus The Walkmen ain't to shabby either.

When we got there some comedian was on stage. I recognized the guy but I have no idea what his name is. The poor bastard was totally bombing. The crowd was to busy chit-chatting to pay any attention to this dude. Then that Sara broad took the stage and attempted to be funny. Since it was her party everyone shut up and paid attention but she wasn't funny.

After a few free drinks I started hunting down the servers with the hoer-douvres, which were top notch. Then the Walkmen took the stage. They played a cool little set which included some horns, shakers, and an old bar room piano. It was pretty good but only lasted for about four songs or so.

When they finished up I went back to the bar and got drunk off of Grand Marnier, Stella, and Wild Turkey - not mixed together, that's just gross. A big thanks to Sara, if you're reading this your party was pretty cool sorry I said you weren't funny.
