Wild Yaks are playing a free show tonight at Zebulon. They go on around 11:30. Elsewhere, there's a house party on Marcy and the Dirty Fences are playing. I don't think there's a cover but not sure.

Tonight: Sounds Of Kaleidoscope & Los Toughfists @ The Church (House Party); So So Glos @ Showpaper Gallery

BSC favorites, Sounds Of Kaleidoscope, are in town and playing The Church. It's that DIY joint in Williamsburg on Manhattan between Meserole and Montrose. I've been to a few shows there and it's always fun. If you're more of the Manhattan island (as opposed to avenue) type then another BSC favorite, So So Glos will be playing the new(ish) Showpaper Gallery on 42nd St.

Tonight: JEFF The Brotherhood @ Union Pool; Wild Yaks In Greenpoint;

It's Halloween but I'm not really feeling it this year. People out there on the streets seem to feel the same way. Maybe the moon is in a weird position but the consensus seems to be that Halloween sucks this year and not in the appropriate vampire sense. So you know, maybe catch a show or something instead.

Tonight: The Beets, No Bunny, & More; Bushwick Kegger

I still have not made it out to Bruar Falls yet but they've been putting some solid shows together, which ain't easy. Tonight The Beets, No Bunny, Hunx & His Punx, German Measles, and Baby Shakes are playing. Elsewhere in Brooklyn, there's some kegger at some random residence with some random bands. Now it doesn't sound so hot but those parties usually end up being the best.

Tonight: Death Set, Ninjasonik, Cerebral Ballzy, House Party

Unfortunately this isn't all the same event but there's plenty to do tonight. Rumor has it Ninjasonik is playing a Dominican strip club on Broadway near Myrtle. If this is true then it's going to be fucking insanity.
