Matt & Kim, Souja Boy & Andrew WK Made A Song, "I'm A Goner" - It's Bad.

Some drunkard at Converse thought it would be a good idea to pay Matt & Kim, Soulja Boy and Andrew WK to write a song together. Needless to say the results are boring and pretty terrible. I don't understand how anyone could think this would work out well. There's a proper video for this tune on the Converse website but I can't embed it so head over there if you give a shit.

GWAR's Crack-A-Thon 2011 Goes Down On September 2nd & 3rd

GWAR is bringing the Crack-A-Thon back to Brooklyn this year! The "spoken turd" event goes down on September 2nd & 3rd at the MF Gallery. There will be two shows each day and tickets are $15-$20. Andrew W.K. Was A Teenage Stalker

If this is real, and not just a PR stunt for his album, it's fucking amazing. Back in high school Mr. W.K. wrote a song for the girl he was in love with. Unfortunately, she didn't quite feel the same and his love song turned landed him in therapy and with a restraining order. Check out the post and listen to the song and it's pretty obvious why. That poor girl must have been afraid to leave her house. It's still fucking funny as shit though.

Tonight: 66Sick Anniversary w/ Andrew W.K.; Kurt Vile & Wild Yaks @ Europa

If you're down with the whole hipster dance party scene then there's only one choice for tonight and it's Six Six Sick. It's like an all-star lineup of nightlife figures, past & present. Even my lazy ass is getting off the couch for this one. I'll be the guy that looks just a little too old for a party like this (no not Bronques or WK, the other one). There are two hour long, back-to-back, open bars: first vodka then PBR (thanks Daniel James).

In Brooklyn Kurt Vile and Wild Yaks are playing Europa. The details are in the next post down.

Tonight: Andrew W.K. Piano Performance

Most people know Andrew W.K. as the party guy with the blood stained shirt. While you expect fist pumping electro-metal stuff you wouldn't expect a night of piano improvisations. See, Andrew is a classically trained pianist. I've been curious what kind of skills this dudes has on the ivory for years.
