Tonight: BSC Presents Personality Crisis w/ SHAPES, EULA, Ritz Riot; K-Holes @ Union Pool

Start your night by hitting Union Pool for Summer Thunder. They've got the always awesome K-Holes playing on the patio in the yard. I'd guess they play around 8pm or so. Then head over to Shea Stadium for the Brooklyn Ski Club curated edition of Personality Crisis. As always SHAPES are headlining. We've also brought in a couple of our favorite local bands, Ritz Riot and EULA. This will be super fun. '

Tonight: Wild Yaks @ Coco66; SHAPES & Raccoon Fighter @ Shea Stadium; TSOK @ Loft Party; So So Glos, Darlings, Sundelles @ 285 Kent

Lots to do in Brooklyn tonight. I will be at Shea Stadium for sure and will likely be hitting the loft party as well. The Wild Yaks show has a solid lineup but I think it's too far off from the rest to swing by. Bummer.

***Update: Forgot about this one & it's killer

Free SHAPES Songs + Playing Shea Stadium On Friday

Tonight: Shilpa Ray, Headless Horseman, Popo @ Piano's; Wild Yaks @ The Gutter; Darlings & Regal Degal @ Shea

Plenty of good shows tonight! I will be at Brown Out at Piano's which features Shilpa Ray, Headless Horseman and Popo. I've been trying to catch Headless Horseman for quite a while and Popo is rad. Somehow this is my first time seeing Shilpa Ray, which seems impossible.

If I wasn't at Piano's I'd be catching one of the other shows here. I'm really bummed I can't make it to the Wild Yaks show.

Tonight: Personality Crisis With Team Robespierre & SHAPES

Tonight is the 2-year anniversary of Personality Crisis. PC is a monthly DIY show/party put together by SHAPES. We love SHAPES so when they asked us to get involved we were totally down. We asked one of our favorite bands in Brooklyn, Team Robespierre, if they'd want to headline the show and they were down too.

Shea Stadium is one of our favorite DIY spots in Brooklyn and this party is just fucking crazy always so the addition of Team Robespierre should make this one for the books. Fanelli, of SHAPES, is also making his famous homemade 4 Loko, which he calls Crisis Crunk. And to top it off our favorite descendant of Aaron, Jeremy J Cohen, is celebrating his birthday!

Personality Crisis 2-Year Anniversary w/ Team Robespierre, SHAPES & More.

Personality Crisis is a rad DIY party that our friend Fanelli of SHAPES throws once a month at Shea Stadium. PC is celebrating 2 years of raging on Jan. 29th. We kinda sorta helped out with the anniversary party and as such Brooklyn Ski Club is the presenting sponsor for the party! The always awesome Team Robespierre will be headlining the show. Check out the flyer for the rest of the lineup.

SHAPES & Jangula Played Shea Stadium

Once a month the band SHAPES throws a party called Personality Crisis at Shea Stadium, which is a DIY venue hidden away in the Williamsburg Industrial Park. Fanelli, who is the singer for SHAPES and the promoter of the party, invited us to out. We love SHAPES and I've been wanting to see Jangula (also on the bill) so we made a point to stop by. Plus Fanelli cooked up a batch of homemade Four Loko and there was no way I was missing out on that (Fanelli's Four Loko recipe coming soon to BSC).

Shea Stadium is in my neighborhood so we all met up at Lady Jay's, the best bar in Brooklyn, for a few drinks before the show. After a couple of cans we hiked up Grand and through the desolate blocks of the industrial park to Shea.

When we got to the show some band called Night Eyes (I think) were about to go on. We went over to the home brew table and Fanelli hooked us up with a sample. It wasn't so bad but I'm pretty sure it was at least semi-poisonous, I guess all booze is to some extent. Night Eyes got started while I was sippin' on my bathtub Loko. They played some sort of dark techno synth music. Not my cup of tea but the kids were dancing around like crazy so hey, that's cool.

Did I mention the kids? Personality Crisis brings in an extremely young crowd. If you're over 25 they probably think you're a
