Deer Tick, Holy Shit It's Christmas!

Deer Tick recorded a couple of Christmas tunes and you get them for free anytime you purchase a Deer Tick product from the labels store. Which means it's not really free but close enough I guess.

Deer Tick Adds Brooklyn Show (11/10)

Last week I mentioned that Deer Tick was going on tour but skipping good ol' NYC. Well, it seems that the situation has been remedied. Deer Tick will be stopping by Music Hall of Williamsburg on November 10th.

Deer Tick On Tour (Not Playing NYC) + New MP3 (Free Download)

Deer Tick just announced a bunch of tour dates that hit all the big cities, except the biggest. Sorry NYC, no Deer Tick for you...or us, I should say. It's a bummer but at least we got a new MP3 out of the deal.

Tonight: Halloween Parties (Mostly Brooklyn)

Here's some shit to do tonight. We've got loft parties, warehouse parties, bars, open bars, bowling, live bands, dead bands, deth rally...you get the point. Good fucking luck getting into the VICE party.

New Releases: Alexisonfire, Deer Tick, Mars Volta

Well, today is a pretty good day for music. Usually I don't even pay attention to what new albums come out but there's actually more then one worth getting this time.

I'm most excited to hear the new Alexisonfire album although the new songs on MySpace are a bit disappointing. For some reason George now sounds like Wade, which isn't really a good thing. Luckily, Dallas still has the best voice in music and more or less saves any songs that are otherwise boring. Again though, I don't have the album yet, nor have I heard it, so I'm not judging just yet.

Deer Tick is also releasing a new album. Honestly I thought this album came out months ago. The press releases for it started flowing in back in like March so I just assumed it was out. Either way Deer Tick is fucking awesome so pick it up.

Last but - well maybe, least is Mars Volta. All the talk about an At The Drive-In reunion has kinda made people forget that Mars Volta has a new album. Well, this one I have heard and it's good, not great, but worth getting for sure. It's nothing out of the ordinary for MV but it's a bit more mellow which frankly I'm happy about, I can do without all the proggy guitar shit.

Deer Tick MP3 "Easy" + Tour Dates

Just wanted to share some Deer Tick news. First of all there's a free MP3 from the new album Born On Flag Day. There's also some tour dates but they don't really start until the summer unless you're in New England.

Deer Tick Is The Special Guest At The Death Vessel Show Tonight

Just got word that Deer Tick will be the special guest at the Death Vessel show tonight at the Knitting Factory. Show starts at 8PM. I'm not sure if Deer Tick is playing a seperate set or joining Death Vessel. Either way this is worth checking out.

Tonight: The Dodos, Deer Tick @ DBA

The Dodos are blowing up right now. I checked them out a few times and I can see why but they're not really my thing. That said I wouldn't mind seeing them and I certainly wouldn't mind seeing Deer Tick - who are fucking awesome. Also playing tonight are Necking, Extreme Violence, & Bear In Heaven. Pretty good line up, I must say. No idea what this costs which is the only reason I'm not sure if I'm going or not. .

March 31st, Monday at 8 PM
