Today: Superchief Presents w/ Gunfight!, Ritz Riot, Raccoon Fighter, EULA, Shapes & More

Killer, killer, killer show today at the Morgan. Damn near all of my favorite local bands are playing this. All we need is Ballzy & Wild Yaks and it would be perfecto. It's also weird because if I booked an all-day show in Brooklyn this is pretty much the exact line-up you'd get, or pretty damn close. It's $10 but that gets you 22 bands and I think there's free booze early on.

Radiohead Is Playing Occupy Wall Street Today(?)

The rumors are true, Radiohead will be playing Liberty Park today at 4pm. This will be a shit show to end all shit shows. In fact, I kinda think it's irresponsible of the band. The cops are already heated and flooding downtown with Radiohead fans might be exactly what's needed for a full on riot to erupt. This is gonna get ugly, proceed with caution.

***NEVERMIND. They just cancelled. Probably a good thing.
******Okay, maybe it is happening. The band says no, occupy Wall St. says yes. But the band saying no could simply be a crowd control measure.
*********Looks like my hunch might be right. Now Gothamist is reporting that the bands denial was a fake out to keep 1,000,000 people from showing up. We'll see what happens.

Today: Tiki Disco @ Roberta's; Dixons BBQ

Two great options for today. There's another edition of Tiki Disco at Roberta's. This is basically a full on dance party in the backyard of Roberta's and it's really fun. Get there early (leave now) or wait in line forever. Also, Clem's bar is having an 8-year anniversary BBQ today. It's not actually at Clem's, which is weird, so head to 878 Metropolitan. It's free to get in and The Dixons are playing!

Jelly NYC brings the party back to North Brooklyn with a free show this afternoon at The Morgan. The Death Set, So So Glos, Cerebral Ballzy, Japanther, The Growlers and CSC Funk Band are playing. That, my friends, is awesome!

Today: A Farewell To Mars Bar

The Nouvellas and Daddy Long Legs are playing at Mars Bar today at 3pm. It's both a video shoot for the Nouvellas and a farewell party to the legendary punk dive, Mars Bar. If you're new here, Mars Bar is the last of the old CBGB era hangs that are still in operation but the condos are giving them the boot.

Talib Kweli Is The Secret Guest At Bushwick Block Party Today

According to Team Robespierre, yes! The Bushwick Block Party is an all day bash on the street by the Morgan L stop. Team Robespierre, Electric Tickle Machine, Shark? and a bunch more are playing. They also have a "super secret amazing headliner" which just might be Talib Kweli. Here's the Tweet from Team Robes:

Today: Out In The Streets Music Festival & JellyNYC Rock Yard

If you want some fun in the sun and you're in Brooklyn you've got two killer options. If you're in Bushwick there's the Out In The Streets fest, which is a street party with tons of bands including Sigmund Droid, Shadowbox, Fan-Tan and more. They're handing out free beer from 3-5pm, cover is $10. If you're in the burg then check out the JellyNYC Rock Yard. Motel Motel is playing that one with CSC Funk Band and bunch more. That party is free!

Today: Crest Fest

As long as this doesn't get crazy packed it'll be good times. My pals Sundelles and Wizardry are playing along with Motel Motel, Darlings and some other rad bands. Get going, it already started.

Today: Pool Party; After Party @ Brooklyn Bowl; New York Night Train Dance Party; The Beets BBQ

Another Sunday means another Pool Party. Due to being out of town and severe hangovers I've only been to the first one this year. However, I think I'll swing by for Dark Meat today. Those dudes are fucking awesome. After that there are two pretty excellent options. First you have the official Pool Party after party at Brooklyn Bowl. They're supposed to have some kind of free booze for 2 hours! That's a pretty sweet deal. The other happening is The Beets are having a BBQ to celebrate Juan becoming an American citizen, that's at Cinders Gallery. If you're still standing around 9 then there's a New York Night Train party at K&M, which should still be rockin' after the free booze stops flowing at Brooklyn Bowl. So there you have it, your Sunday is all laid out for you - go get shit faced or got to church, which is it?

Today: The Beets BBQ

The Beets
have officially been around for a whole year now and are celebrating with a free BBQ in Brooklyn. Knight School, Air Waves, and Cause Co-Motion are also going to be playing.

Today: 3rd Ward Block Party w/ Wild Yaks, Aa, & More

Due to rain they had to move this inside, which sucks because I was really looking forward to drinking in the street. Oh well. This already started so hop on your bike and get your ass over there.

Today: Roof Party w/ Finger On The Pulse + BBQ & BYOB!

This was supposed to go down last night but got postponed because of rain. Starts around 5PM today.

***UPDATE*** Might want to check this one out too - it's right around the corner

Today: BARC + Boredoms

Two reasons to be outside in Brooklyn today. The Boredoms are performing their much talked about 77Boadrum, which will be a once in a lifetime performance. But I'll probably avoid the 12,000 or so people (that's how many RSVPd) and just go to the BARC block party.
