Action Painters Playing Newsonic Loft With Dynasty Electric Friday

This Friday stop by the Newsonic Loft to check out Action Painters and Dynasty Electric. Both bands are chums of ours and played our show at Castle In Hell a couple months ago. The last Newsonic show we went to was kinda crazy, in the good way. Lots of people dancing and drinking and what not. I highly recommend you buy some beer by your apartment before you go because there are NO bodegas open at night in that neighborhood.

Super Party Fun Time Was Awesome!

This is a bit late but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out to the Castle In Hell party on Saturday. I got there a little late (about 8:15) and the place was already half full (I'm an optimist). Before 9PM it was jam packed and pretty much stayed that way all night!

Thanks to all the bands Action Painters, Dynasty Electric, & The Sounds Of Kaleidoscope. A special thanks to HTR for letting us have a party in their basement. And an extra special thanks to Radio America for helping me put this together (they did most of the work). I also want to thank Jeremy J for jumping on last minute as the DJ.

If Saturday sucked I probably would have thrown in the towel but I had a blast and I already have a couple more in the works! Get fucking ready to party!

So So Glos Played Castle In Hell 2/13

Last Friday I headed over to Castle In Hell for the So So Glos show. This was my first time seeing them but I was already a fan and have been listening to their album a lot lately. When I got their some band just started playing that was really good. I tried figuring out who they were but no luck. They played semi-spastic punk with some cool Mike Watt-esque bass lines. If you know who they were then email me.

Anyway, So So Glos were fucking amazing. They're the real deal and are a must see. There's an obvious Clash type thing going on but they don't sound like copy cats, just admirers. You can tell they truly give a shit about their music and spend a lot of time getting it right. It was great to see them at Castle In Hell, which is basically the basement of an apartment in Bed-Stuy. I don't think they'll be playing random spots like that much longer.
