For the second weekend in a row I do not have a damn internet connection. I was on the phone with Time Warner and Earthlink for 2-3 hours yesterday and they got me nowhere. The last time this happened I miraculously had internet two days later. I don't get it - my modem is showing activity and my computer is acknowledging network activity yet I have no connection. Anyway, the point of this rant is I won't be able to update the site I normally would. I'm on my roommates iBook and it's very limiting since I don't know much about Macs and Blogger limits the features when accesssed through a Mac.
So yesterday I was at the Siren Fest on Coney Island, I'll have a full recap as soon as I'm up and running.

I use a Mac... had no idea that my options were limited! Shiz-nit!
Remember the good old days when we used newsprint for toilet paper and changed pants twice a year... Aah, simpler times....
My goodness! I can't believe this can happen in America!
"2-3 hours" that's nothing. One time I spent 5 hours plus talking to Verizon, MCI, and Vonage. One of the phone companies anonymously disconnected my telephone. I just woke up one morning to my phone disconnected. So I called them and no one could turn it back on. MCI said that Vonage had done an Illegal number transfer and took the number away so they would never be able to get it back. After I was on hold for over an hour at a payphone Vonage said that they didn't own the number so they didn't have the right to make a number transfer. And good old Verizon (who owns the telphone lines in my area) didn't know what I was talking about.
Unfortunately, after talking to several supervisors at each phone company, I was inable to get my telphone number back. Which was really, really, really inconvenient.
welcome to the east village
